Established in 2006, Mihin Lanka served 14 domestic and international destinations from its main hub at Bandaranaike International Airport before closing its operations in 2016. Mihin Lanka’s fleet of aircraft which included Airbus A319-100, Airbus A320-200, Airbus A320neo, and Airbus A321-200 was acquired by SriLankan Airlines.

Mihin Lanka was one of the best low-cost airlines of Sri Lanka with its headquarters in Colombo. The low fare leisure airline had operations spread across Asia and the Middle East. Owned by the flag carrier of Sri Lanka, the SriLankan Airlines, Mihin Lanka stopped all its operation in 2016.
