Airport Terminal Information

The Airport holds five terminals and is named as Main terminal building and contact pier, Satellite terminal A, klia2, KL City Air Terminal and Low cost carrier terminal (LCCT).

Main terminal building and contact pier: Kuala Lumpur International Airport major terminal building is situated in between two runways, which covers an area of about 390,000 m2 (4,200,000 sq ft) and the building is packed with 39 square roof units. The contact pier is well known as rectangular-shaped terminal, which connects to the Airport main terminal building. It also serves for domestic purpose through Malaysia Airlines and it operates for few international arrivals.

Satellite terminal A- This terminal will serve international flights departing and arriving at the Airport, which holds 176,000 square meters (1,890,000 sq ft) satellite building. You can find a number of facilities available in this terminal such as boutiques, shops, cafes, restaurants, international airlines ‘lounges, Wi-Fi, prayer rooms, showers, massage service, Kids Zone, movie lounge, broadcasting movie and sport channels. The Satellite A terminal is equipped with 27 boarding gates altogether.

Klia2: This terminal is used for low-cost carrier terminal at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), situated 2 kilometers away from the main airport terminal building. Klia2 is considered as largest purpose-built terminal committed to low-cost carriers, which was designed to cater for 45 million passengers a year with future capacity expansion capability. This terminal also features 4 km runway (KLIA's Runway 3) and a 141.3m air-traffic control (ATC) tower. It also marks world's tallest ATC tower.

KL City Air Terminal

This terminal is well known for Kuala Lumpur City Air Terminal or KL CAT, located at KL Sentral. It is an extension of Kualalumpur International Airport, where the city check-in services are provided. This terminal offers 5 airlines city check-in services, such as Cathay Pacific, Emirates Airline, Etihad Airways, Malaysia Airlines and Royal Brunei Airlines.

Low Cost Carrier Terminal: This terminal was designed and built in conformity to the low cost carrier business model with limited terminal facilities. This terminal doesn't have any aerobridges, transfer facilities, rail connections, or any other facilities offered by a full-fledged terminal.
