Travelling with kids? Fret not. We’ve got you and your little ones covered on the most kids friendly festivals across the world. Just take your pick and have a gala time with your kids at these amazing festivals.
Celebrate the festival of colours in the historic city of Hampi in South India. During this two day festival in March, people dance on the streets to upbeat music, eat lots of delicious food, play with gulaal (coloured powder) and enjoy bonfires at night. It’s a great festival for kids as they can enjoy to their heart’s content.
When? – 20 & 21st March 2019
It’s a lovely festival usually held from March to early April when the Ueno Park is full of cherry blossoms to enjoy with your kids. Take a leisure walk beneath the cherry blossom canopies of more than 800 trees while enjoying the glimmer of a thousand lanterns that lit up the garden at sunset. Moreover, there are mind-blowing open air musicals and yummy Japanese food that the kids are absolutely going to love. Children can also ride on the swan boat in Shinobazu Pond.

Easter Festival in New Orleans in the month of March is a brilliant occasion to make some marvelous memories with your kids. The French Quarter Easter parade, the Gay Easter Parade and Chris Owen’s Easter Sunday –all of these have cute soft toys, great music, and crazy dancing. Enjoy live music, have tasty pastries, eat appetizing seafood in Easter brunches, participate in egg-knocking (going door to door showing off your beautifully painted eggs), and having a pleasant time on a cruise down the river.

This is a unique festival that’s organized during December near Dubai. It showcases the splendid culture of Emirati Bedouin. Al Dhafra has dog and camel races, displays of classic cars, camel beauty pageant, packing dates in traditional souks, and various workshops such as art and dance.
When? – December 17-28
It is the biggest children’s literary festival of Europe with an exclusive lineup of speakers, activities, and events that are specifically oriented towards children and young adults. The literature festival is organized in from September to October and has various workshops, celebrity author talks, and fun interactive sessions with children’s story characters.
