Dry Tortugas National Park

Dry Tortugas National Park is a true gem of the National Park System located 70 miles west of Key West, Florida. It is home to white sandy beaches, an abundance of marine life, and crystal clear waters. The park encompasses seven islands, with the largest being Garden Key, which is home to the famous Fort Jefferson. It was part of an impressive fortress and constructed in the 19th century and served as a prison during the Civil War.
